Whatfix provides a easy to configure analytics with the most popular analytics tool - Google Analytics (GA). Please note that GA configuration needs to be done for your account before you can see the reports below. 


You will be able to do below once you have configured Whatfix to GA.

  • Track usage of the flows you have created using Whatfix. 
  • Track usage of the various Whatfix widgets (Onboarding Popups, Self Help, Beacons, Tasklist, Slideshows etc...) 

Here's a quick overview of the various dashboards and reports available.   

Dashboards

Editor's PerformanceProvides an overview of the flows being created and edited by flow editors in your Whatfix business account
Self Help Widget Performance

Provides an overview on the performance of self-help widget with details like:

    • Number of times Self Help is clicked
    • Number of times a flow is launched from the Self Help
    • Webpages on which Self Help is clicked most of the times

Usefulness of Help Articles

Provides a comprehensive overview of the usage of Whatfix flows wherever it is being used in your product. Tracks the usage of multiple formats including:

    • Views of whatfix flows in slideshow format (in Knowledge base, blog, etc)
    • Number of runs of flows
    • Where users are not completing the flows
    • Number of times flow failures have happened

Guided Pop-up and Smart Pop-up

Provides usage of the Guided pop-up and Smart pop-up widgets.

  • Number of times the Guided pop-up or Smart pop-up was viewed
  • Number of times the Guided pop-up was played or skipped
  • Number of times the user selected the 'Do not show again' option on the pop-ups
  • Completion rate of the flow in Guided pop-up

This report gives the count of the number of times a particular flow has been viewed in the slideshow format


Flows - Completely viewed

This analytics report gives the count of the number of times a particular flow has been completely viewed in the slideshow format


Flows - With only start page view

This analytics report gives the count of the number of times when users have viewed only the introduction slide of a flow in the slideshow format


Flows - Live runs

This analytics report gives the count of the number of times a particular flow has been launched in the live mode


Flows - Live runs completed

This analytics report gives the count of the number of times a particular flow has been completed in the live mode


Flows - Need attention

This analytics report gives the count of the number of times a particular flow has been manually closed by the user during a live run on any step. It also provides the steps at which users frequently close the flow.


Flows - Need rework

This analytics report gives the count of the number of times a particular flow has failed to launch/ complete. It also provides the steps at which failures occur frequently.

Guided Pop-upThis analytics report provides the count of the number of times the flow is played from Guided pop-up .
Smart Pop-upThis analytics report provides the count of the number of times the Smart pop-up is displayed to your users.
Smart tipsThis analytics report provides the count of the number of times Smart tips are displayed to your users.


How to Configure your Whatfix Account  to send data to your GA account

Now that you know enough about the various reports which can help you track Whatfix usage. Next step is to learn how to configure your account. 

Preconditions

  • Need to have access to Google Analytics
  • Create a new account in Google Analytics
  • Setup the analytics and import the Whatfix reports bundle 

Whatfix guides you in a  step by step manner to set up analytics when you click the analytics option in the cogwheel of your account.

Measure Progress through Analytics  

Once you have deployed the Whatfix flows, you want to measure how the users are adopting them.
