SAP applications require specific SAP configurations and installers for Whatfix Desktop to work seamlessly.
Configure SAP
Enable Accessibility
Enable client and server accessibility through a one-time configuration in the SAP instance.
Enable Client Accessibility
Use the following steps to enable Client Accessibility:
Go to SAP applications and then click the Monitor icon.
Click Options…
In the left navigation panel, under the Accessibility & Scripting folder click Scripting.
Under the User Settings section, select the Enable Scripting and Show native Microsoft Windows dialogs checkboxes. Ensure the other two options are not selected.
Enable Server Accessibility
Type the transaction code RZ11 and press Enter.
Enter the parameter name sapgui/user_scripting and click Display.
Click Change Value.
Set the New value parameter to TRUE, then select the Switch on all Services checkbox.
Enable Modal Dialog Box
When accessibility is enabled, certain SAP functionalities become limited. To avoid these limitations and support Whatfix Desktop, use the following steps:
Log in to SAP.
Click Help and go to Settings.
In the F1 Help tab, choose the in Modal Dialog Box option.
In the F4 Help tab, choose the Dialog (modal) option and then select the ALV checkbox.
Which installers should I use?
If your SAP application is 32-bit, use the 32-bit installer for Whatfix Player and Studio.
If your SAP application is 64-bit, use the 64-bit installer for Whatfix Player and Studio.
