# Add a Link to Self Help

Whatfix enables you to add links to external content sources to the list of content displayed in Self Help.

:::(Warning) (Note)
Integrate your existing Content Repository with Whatfix to display contextual links in Self Help.
 For more information, see [Integrate your Content with Whatfix](/studio/docs/integrate-your-content-repository-with-whatfix){target="_blank"}.
:::

Here's a GIF that demonstrates how a link clicked from Self Help opens as a pop-up within the same page of the application.

5. Enter the **Title** and the **Link** (URL).

:::(Warning) (Note:)
* Add search keywords to the link to make it easy for your end users to search for the link in Self Help.
* [Add tags](/studio/docs/add-tags-to-content){target=`_blank`} to your link content.
:::

:::(Info) (Info:)
* If Smart Context is enabled, all content created on your application is auto-tagged. However, if static content (articles, videos, and more) is not created using Studio, add the **global-page tag** to display this content in the Self Help widget on your application. To tag content, see [Add Tags to content](/studio/docs/add-tags-to-content){target="_blank"}. If the tag doesn't work on your account, contact [support@whatfix.com](mailto:support@whatfix.com?Subject=Tagging%20doesn%27t%20work%20on%20my%20account&Body=Hello%20Team%2C%0A%0AI%20want%20to%20use%20Tags%20to%20add%20content%20in%20Self%20Help.%20However%2C%20tagging%20doesn%27t%20work%20on%20my%20account.%20Request%20you%20to%20kindly%20enable%20this%20feature.%20%0A%0AAccount%20information%3A%0A%0AThanks%20and%20regards.){target="_blank"}.
* If your account has multiple Global tags, select the one with the highest value. For example, if the tags in your account are Global-Page, Global-Page_1, and Global-Page_2, content should be tagged with Global-Page_2. For more information on viewing the Global tags available in your account, see [How can I view the Global tags created in my account?](/studio/docs/how-can-i-view-the-global-tags-created-in-my-account){target="_blank"}
:::

:::(Warning) (Note:)
* If you configure Page tags as Visibility Rules for a Self Help segment, then all the static content associated with the Page tag appears in the Self Help widget when the tag is evaluated. There is no need to add the **global-page tag** or **Auto tags** to the static content created using the Dashboard.
* If you cannot add tags while creating content in an account that has Smart Context enabled, first create a Flow and save it in your dashboard. Ensure that this Flow is not pushed to the Production stage. Creating a Flow generates **Auto tags** that can be added to the desired content. These **Auto tags** appear in the **Tags** section. Once the tags are generated, you can delete the flow.
:::

6. Click **Save Link**.
