# Add Page Tags and Role Tags to content

Tagging helps you organize your content together and maintain logical consistency across content. Determine when you want to display what kind of content to what kind of user. There might be instances where you might want to tag multiple pieces of content together.

          Note:

- Add tags to up to 100 content items at a time.
- You cannot bulk tag content in the Production stage. Move the items to the Ready or Draft stage, tag them, and then publish them to Production.
- You cannot add Tags to folders.

Use the following steps to tag multiple content:

1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click **Content**. ![click_content1](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/click_content%281%29.png)
2. Click **All Content**. ![Click_All_Content](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Click_All_Content.png)
3. Select the checkboxes next to the content you want to tag. ![CLM_DB_Select_Flow_Checkbox.png](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/CLM_DB_Select_Flow_Checkbox.png)

1. In the **Manage Tags** dialog box, click **Manage Tags**. ![tags_click_manage_tags](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/tags_click_manage_tags.png)

          **Note**

If the tag does not exist, type in the name of the tag and hit the **Enter key** to create a new tag. ![tags_new_tag](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/tags_new_tag.png)

          **Info**

Auto tags are auto-created in your Dashboard and attached to all the Dynamic content (Flows, Smart Tips, and Beacons) and can't be added manually. However, you can add these Auto Tags to Static content (Links, Video Links, Articles, Images, and PDFs) manually.

Whatfix Tags enable you to segment or group content on the Whatfix Dashboard. A Tag also helps identify a page on your application so that relevant Whatfix content can be displayed on the right page.
