Adding a PDF to Task List

Whatfix allows you to add PDF file to Task Lists as a Link content. Adding PDFs to Task List is a three-step process.

Step 1: Hosting the PDF in a cloud storage platform like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
Step 2: Creating a Link content in Whatfix
Step 3: Adding the Link content to the Task List widget

Step 1: Hosting the PDF in a cloud storage platform

Make sure that the sharing settings of the PDF files stored in the cloud storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) are not set to private and is accessible to intended users.

Once stored, copy the shareable link for the PDF and keep it ready.

Step 2: Creating a Link content in Whatfix

To create a Link content for the PDF,

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

  2. Click My Content

  3. Click the Create button and then click Link.

  4. Enter the purpose of the link in the Display Text field.

  5. Enter the shareable link of the PDF in the Link field.
  6. Click  Save.

Step 3: Adding the Link content to the Task List widget

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

  2. Click Widgets.

  3. Click Task List tile.

  4. Click the segment you want to add the PDF to.

  5. Click Select

  6. Set the filter to LINK.

  7. Hover the cursor over the link you want to add and select using the checkbox.

  8. Click Okay.
  9. Click Save to add the PDF to the Task List widget.
