# Insert a step after Flow creation

Whenever there is some minor change to your application, you need not recreate content. Make the incremental change by inserting a new step to make the Flow current again.

Use the following steps to add a step to an existing Flow:

1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click **Content**. ![ia_left_nav_content](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/ia_left_nav_content.png)
2. Click **Flows**. ![ia_left%20nav_flows](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/ia_left%20nav_flows.png)
3. Hover your cursor over the Flow you want to update, and then click the **Edit** icon. ![Desktop_Click_edit](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Desktop_Click_edit.png)
4. Click **Launch live edit**. ![Dashboard_flow_launch_live](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Dashboard_flow_launch_live.png)

1. Once the application launches, on the Studio, click the **more** icon on the step where you want to add a step. ![AddStepAfterFlowCreation](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/AddStepAfterFlowCreation.png)
2. Using the dropdown select the relevant option. ![AddStepsAfterFlowCreation-Dropdown](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/AddStepsAfterFlowCreation-Dropdown.png)

- **Add Step Before**: This option enables you to add a step before the existing step.
- **Add Step After**: This option enables you to add a step after the existing step.

Info:

- Whatfix also enables you to copy a step from another flow. For more information, see [Copy Flow Steps](/studio/docs/copying-flow-steps).
- Create a branch and guide end users through several possible options. For more information, see [Add a branch to a Flow](/studio/docs/adding-a-branch-to-a-flow).

1. Select the element on the application, enter the step description, and other information.
2. Click **Save Step**. ![Studio_SaveFlowstep](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/2024-10-18_10-24-13%281%29.png)
3. Repeat the steps 4 to 7 to add additional steps.
4. Once all the steps are captured, click **Save Flow**. ![Editor_flow_save_flow](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Editor_flow_save_flow.png)
