# Can Analytics be disabled?

Yes, Analytics (which include Guidance and Product Analytics) can be disabled for a particular account. If you do not wish to capture analytics for your account, then the setting can be disabled on the Whatfix dashboard.

The changes made in the Whatfix Guidance dashboard settings are also reflected in the Whatfix Analytics dashboard settings.

Use the following steps to disable Analytics:

1. Clear the **Enable Whatfix Analytics** checkbox.

- Clearing the **Enable Whatfix Analytics** checkbox automatically disables the capture of Whatfix analytics in the [export or self-hosted mode of deployment](/studio/docs/self-hosting-whatfix-content).
- Once you disable Whatfix Analytics, the tracking of [Goal Management](/studio/docs/goal-management) is also disabled.
