# Mass Deploy Whatfix Extension using Jamf for the Safari Browser

Jamf is a Mobile Device Management (MDM) software that enables IT administrators to remotely manage apps on end user machines. Read this section to learn about how you can setup and manage Whatfix extensions on your end users’ devices.

#### Prerequisites

- You must have an Apple Business Manager (ABM) account to enroll your end-user machines and procure licenses for the Whatfix extension.
- You must have access to Jamf and integrate it with ABM to smoothly deploy the Whatfix extension for your end users.

> [!WARNING]
> Note:

> Before you proceed, reach out to [support@whatfix.com](mailto:support@whatfix.com?subject=Whatfix%20Extension%20Details&body=Hi%2C%0A%0APlease%20provide%20the%20following%20details%20to%20install%20the%20Whatfix%20Extension%3A%0A%0ABundle%20ID%3A%0AApple%20Store%20URL%3A%0AWhtafix%20Extension%20Version%3A%0A) to get the following details:
>
> - Bundle Identifier.
> - The URL of the Whatfix Extension on the Apple Store.
> - Whatfix Extension Version. You can view the Version of the Whatfix extension from the Apple Store.

## Troubleshooting

****Unable to see Whatfix extensions in Mac Apps or Mobile Device Apps****

You might face this issue if the MDM configurations are incorrect or application licenses have not been purchased. Perform the following steps to resolve this issue:

1. [Review if MDM is connected to ABM](https://it-training.apple.com/tutorials/deployment/dm055/).
2. [Confirm if application licenses have been purchased in ABM](https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/apple-business-manager/axmc21817890/web).

****Configuration changes to Mac Apps in JAMF Pro are not applied to end-user machines****

Configuration changes might take time to get applied to end-user machines. Perform the following steps to resolve this issue:

1. Remove the device from the scope in Mac Apps, save, refresh, and then re-add the device to the Scope.
2. Check the settings of the **Update Inventory**Policy on Computers. Make sure the devices are added to the Scope and the **Recurring check-in** option is selected.

****The extension is unaffected even though a newer version is available****

Application updates might take time to get applied to end-user machines. If the update fails, the updated version of the app must be deployed once again. Create a new application with a newer version of the same app. This triggers an update of the application to the newer version. You might remove the older duplicate Mac App entry to clean up the Mac Apps page.
