# Disable Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a tool that helps analyze your website and app users. It provides valuable insights that can help you shape the success strategy of your business.

Sometimes, your organization may not want to track user activity in the app. For example, tracking admin user actions may not be necessary. In such scenarios, pass code along with the necessary parameters.

The complete list of fields captured by Google Analytics is provided in the [Fields Reference](https://developers.google.com/analytics){target="_blank"}.

Use the following steps to disable sharing of Whatfix data with Google Analytics:

3. Clear the **Enable Google Analytics** and **Send All Events** checkboxes.

4. Click **Done**.

:::(Warning) (Note)
* Organizations typically use these fields to pass User, User group, or User Role information. If these fields remain unused, Whatfix uses the first field to send a User ID to identify end users.

* The User ID is a randomly generated unique string that, by default, does not contain any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
