Download and translate the property files

To translate content into a particular language using the property files, follow these steps:
- Download the language property file from the Dashboard.
- Update the property file with the translated content.
Click the following accordions for more detailed information:
Download the property file
Use the following steps to download the language files,

On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Settings.

Click Translations.
- Download the property file (.zip file) for any language using the Download icon next to it.
- Select the .properties format.
- Click Download.
Note
The language file gets downloaded in .zip format.
Translating the property file
Use the following steps to translate the content,
- Extract the zip file and open the file using a text editor like Sublime Text or any text or code editor.
Note
- If it's the first time translating to the language, translate content under the folder full.
- If you're translating the new content created, translate content under the folder delta.
- Translate the content.
Each language has an associated properties file that can be used to translate Whatfix UI texts so that the user has a consistent experience.

- Once the files are translated, convert them into a .zip folder using a compressor tool and upload them.
