Article summary

Whenever an application is updated, the underlying UI elements may change. As Whatfix won't be able to identify the element on the page, the Whatfix content (like Beacons), may not appear on the desired element.

To avoid this, Whatfix enables you to reselect the elements for the existing content. This saves the content creator the time required to create the content from scratch, every time the application undergoes an update.

Use the following steps to reselect Beacon elements:

  1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
    ia_left_nav_content

  2. Click Beacons.
    ia_left%20nav_beacons

  3. Hover your cursor over the required Beacon collection, and then click the Edit icon.
