# Error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist

### Issue

When trying to install the [Whatfix Preview Extension](/studio/docs/use-preview-extension-to-test-whatfix-content), you are getting the following error: **Could not establish connection. ### Probable Cause

This error occurs when the Whatfix Preview Extension fails to establish a proper connection with your browser due to an incomplete or incorrect installation.

### Suggested Solution
