Error: Only videos of mp4 format are accepted

Issue

When you try to upload video files to the Whatfix Dashboard, Whatfix displays the following error message: Only videos of mp4 format are accepted.

Probable Cause

Whatfix only accepts videos in .mp4 format. If you try to upload files in different formats such as .htm or .avi, the upload fails and you see the error message.

Suggested Solutions

• Convert the video file to .mp4 format, and then upload to the dashboard.
• Whatfix enables you to host videos on the Whatfix server as a URL, which can then be used to create content. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.
