# File integration for Salesforce

To enable Salesforce Lightning File integration, you need to generate and share the authentication code with a Whatfix representative. ## Generate the Authentication Code

Use the following steps to generate the code of authentication:

1. Log in to your Salesforce Lightning application using the following link: [https://login.salesforce.com/services/oauth2/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=3MVG9YDQS5WtC11olStOHhar.IYwr3K1oQf_x837YxHxLNe6_M21EDCjx5_8D4I0Go4WMonA5AxKjiU88nlUq&redirect_uri=https://whatfix.com/whatfixCrawlerOauthRedirect.html](https://login.salesforce.com/services/oauth2/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=3MVG9YDQS5WtC11olStOHhar.IYwr3K1oQf_x837YxHxLNe6_M21EDCjx5_8D4I0Go4WMonA5AxKjiU88nlUq&redirect_uri=https://whatfix.com/whatfixCrawlerOauthRedirect.html).
2. After the page loads, copy the URL that appears in your browser.
