# Generate Credentials for Zendesk Integration

You need an **API token** from Zendesk to integrate content with Whatfix.

> Only users with the **Administrator role** who has **API token access enabled** can generate the API token.

## Enable API tokens

Use the following steps to enable API tokens in Zendesk:

1. Go to the **Admin Center**, and in the left panel, click **Apps and Integrations**.

## Generate API tokens

Use the following steps to generate API tokens in Zendesk:

1. Go to the **Admin Center**, and in the left panel, click **Apps and Integrations**.

4. Enter an **API token description**.
