# How do I uninstall Whatfix Studio?

Whatfix Studio is a browser plug-in that enables you to create various types of Whatfix Content, such as Flows, Smart Tips, and Beacons. Uninstall the plug-in using Google Chrome or the new Microsoft Edge browser.

You might want to uninstall Whatfix Studio if you’re no longer creating content on Whatfix or troubleshooting browser issues.

> Note:
> 
> - Currently, Whatfix supports the Whatfix Studio extension only on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
> - Only content authors who create content on Whatfix use the Studio extension. Users can view the content in any browser after publishing it. For more information, see [Browser Compatibility](/docs/browser-compatibility).

**Uninstall Whatfix Studio on [Google Chrome](https://www.google.com/intl/en_in/chrome/)**

Use the following steps to uninstall Whatfix Studio:

1. Open [Google Chrome](https://www.google.com/intl/en_in/chrome/), and then click the **Extensions** icon.

2. Click **Manage Extensions**.

3. Find Whatfix Studio in the list of installed extensions, and then click **Remove**.

**Uninstall Whatfix Studio on [Microsoft Edge](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/download?form=MA13FJ)**

1. Open [Microsoft Edge](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/download?form=MA13FJ), and then click the **Settings and more**icon in the top-right corner.

2. Click **Extensions** from the menu.

3. Click **Manage Extensions**.

4. Click **Remove**.

5. Click **Remove** again to confirm.

> - Based on your requirements, you can choose to reinstall the Whatfix Studio extension. For more information, see [How to install Whatfix Studio?](/docs/how-to-install-the-whatfix-editor?highlight=install%20whatfix%20studio)
> - If you can't uninstall the Whatfix Studio extension, your organization's IT policy might restrict changes to browser extensions. In that case, contact your IT team and request that they whitelist the Whatfix Studio extension or add its extension ID to the approved list.
