# How does the Beacon show count work?

Beacons are usually set to appear for a definite number of times on a particular page.

The following table describes the analytics for a Beacon based on two metrics:

| Metrics | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **No of Users shown** | Whatfix counts the Beacon's appearance based on the number of times the page loads irrespective of whether the users engage with the Beacon or perform any other action on the page. For example, if the page loads twice, the Beacon show count is 2. |
| **No of times clicked** | If the user clicks the Beacon, then it is counted as an interaction. The number of times clicked metric count increases by 1. |

The following image displays the **Segment Name** along with the **No. of Users Shown**, **No. of Users Clicked**, and **Creation Date** under the **Effectiveness of Beacons** section in Guidance Analytics: ![Beacon_Analytics](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Beacon_analytics.png)
