How to deploy selected content to production?

You may need to deploy only certain content to production and not all the content you've created. Use the instructions below to deploy selected content.

Step 1: Associate tags to content

Associate a unique tag to content that you want to deploy. For example, **live**.

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard. 
    Goto_dashboard

  2. Select the content you want to tag by selecting the required tiles on the top right.

  3. Click the Manage Tags icon.

  4. In the popup, type the name of the tag and select from the list.

  5. If the tag does not exist, type in the name of the tag and tap the Enter key to create a new tag.

  6. Click Done

  7. Click the Push To Production button in the Dashbaord.

Step 2: Populating Self Help with selected content

Once the content are associated with the "live" tag, you have to include it in Self Help.

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

  2. Click Widgets.

  3. Click Self Help.

  4. Click the New Segment button.

If you've already created the segment, click the Edit icon.

5. Enter/edit the segment same.
6. In the Add Content section, click Select.

7. Click Select By Tags and enter the live tag.

8. Click Okay.
9. In the Set Rules section, set the visibility rules.
10. Click Save.
