# Install and use the Whatfix Preview extension in Google Chrome

As per the latest updates to [Manifest V3](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/develop/migrate#remotely-hosted-code) (MV3), you cannot use the [Preview mode](/studio/docs/how-to-use-preview-mode-to-review-content) to preview Advanced Customization (AC) code changes on Whatfix Studio.

To preview such changes, Whatfix has introduced a Preview extension. This extension enables you to test any AC code used to achieve certain out-of-the-box capabilities. For more information, see [Use Preview extension to test Whatfix content](/studio/docs/use-preview-extension-to-test-whatfix-content).

The Preview extension enables you to test and preview content before it is pushed to Production, while the Production extension is required by end users and content creators to actually view the published content in real time.
