# How to use AND and OR Conditions inside Widget Segments

While setting up your widget segments, you can use the AND/OR settings for conditions. You can also use both these conditions together as a combination in a segment.

Here, the AND acts as a delimiter and all the conditions between two ANDs gets evaluated.

### Use Cases

You can use AND/OR conditions in the following,

- Visibility rule conditions

For example: If you have multiple hostnames and you would like to set one common segment, set the Visibility Rules with an OR condition.
- Segment content by tag content
- Search Scope by tags

Use the following steps to use this setup:

1. On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click **Widgets**. ![ia_left_nav_widgets2](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/ia_left_nav_widgets%282%29.png)
