Note:
Blocker is a beta feature. It’s supported only on Whatfix Web. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.
Overview
Improve data accuracy and user compliance with the help of Blocker. The Blocker feature enables you to control end-user interactions on an application page based on certain conditions. The feature is a solution to problems that arise from end users adding incorrect or incomplete data, resulting in violation of business processes and multiple rounds of manual intervention or unnecessary reviews, all of which cost time and productivity.
Blocker enforces data validation, and the feature works by disabling or hiding UI elements. Therefore, you have a greater chance of enhancing digital adoption by reducing downstream data entry issues.
Types of Blocker
The Blocker feature is available on Whatfix Studio and is of two types:
Invisible blocker: Blocks the element without altering its visual appearance. It adds an invisible layer over the element until set conditions are met. A tooltip appears on click of the selected element, explaining the reason for restricting data entry.

Visible blocker: Blocks the element by visually disabling the element until set conditions are met. A tooltip appears on mouse hover over the selected element, explaining the reason for restricting data entry.
