Incorrect text size in Whatfix content

Issue

The text size in Whatfix content appears incorrectly, even though the correct size is seen on the Guidance Dashboard editor.

The following images show how the tooltip text appears on the application page and then the Dashboard editor, respectively:

Probable Cause

A regular copy-paste action copies both the content and its inline styling—including font size, color, and weight from formatted sources (for example, web pages, emails, or documents). In such scenarios, the copy-pasted inline style, at a page level, overrides the global CSS set in the Styles section of the Whatfix dashboard.

Suggested Solution

Use the following steps to remove inconsistent formatting:

  1. Copy the text from the content.

  1. Paste it on a plain-text editor (for example, Notepad or TextEdit) to remove formatting.

  1. Copy the unformatted text and paste it back to the content.

Info:

To paste unformatted text directly in a content, use ctrl+shift+v (on Windows) and command+shift+v (on MacOs). The shortcuts automatically remove any formatting from the text.

  1. Save the content.
