# Download Whatfix Preview extension using Whatfix Studio

As per the latest updates to Manifest V3 (MV3), you cannot use the Preview mode to preview Advanced Customization (AC) code changes on Whatfix Studio. For more information, [Mitigate the impact of MV3 using the Preview Extension](/studio/docs/overview-of-manifest-v3-mv3-impact-on-whatfix).

To preview such changes, Whatfix has introduced a Preview extension. This extension enables you to test any AC code used to achieve certain out-of-the-box capabilities. For more information, see [Use Preview Extension to Test Whatfix Content](/studio/docs/use-preview-extension-to-test-whatfix-content).

The Preview extension enables you to test and preview content before it is pushed to Production, while the [Browser Extension](/studio/docs/browser-extension) is required by end users and content creators to actually view the published content in real time.

Whatfix enables you to download and install the Preview extension as a one-time process using either the [Install and use the Whatfix Preview extension in Google Chrome](/studio/docs/how-to-install-the-whatfix-developer-extension-in-google-chrome) or Whatfix Studio. From either method, you get the same email with download files for the Preview extension.

Use the following steps to download the Preview extension using Whatfix Studio:

1. Log in to your application, and then launch the **[Whatfix Studio](/studio/docs/how-to-install-the-whatfix-editor)**.

1. At the top right, next to the account information dropdown, click the **Preview mode** icon.

2. If Whatfix detects any custom AC code in your account, a pop-up prompting you to install the Preview extension shows up. Click **Install Extension** to generate the Preview extension.

> If you click **Enter without extension**, another popup shows up to confirm if you want to preview without the Preview extension. Verify if you have any AC code in your account and**Download** the Preview extension or **Ignore** the popup accordingly.

1. Once you have clicked **Install****Extension** or **Download,**ensure that you have received an email with installation links.
