# Steps do not appear in a Flow with multi-element selection

## Issue
Flow steps do not appear correctly when using multi-select mode to select multiple similar elements within a single Flow step.

## Probable Causes
* During flow creation, an oversight while selecting multiple similar elements using multi-select mode on your application page might cause this issue.
* Incorrect configuration, for instance, choosing the wrong completion rule might lead to such issues. Example: If you choose the **Step Completion Rule** as **On click of selected element**, it might sometimes prevent users from moving to the next step(s) because of the dependency on the Flow steps(s). ## Suggested Solutions
* Understand how multi-element selection works for Flows and Smart Tips. For more information, see [Select multiple elements for showing Smart Tips and Flow steps](/studio/docs/select-multiple-elements-for-showing-smart-tips){target=`_blank`}.
* Re-select the steps using multi-element selection configuration. 
* For Flows with multi-element selection, choose the **Step Completion Rule** accordingly.
