# Understand the translation status

Whatfix enables you to view and change the translation status for Whatfix content. Assign translation status for Whatfix content to easily track, translate, review, and push content to appear live on your application.

The Languages section displays a **Status** column that indicates if the translated content is up-to-date with the changes. The following table lists the different translation statuses:

| Translation Status | Description |
| --- | --- |

This status remains unchanged for content without translations. The status of the content that displays **Translation required** automatically changes to **Review pending** when you auto-translate the content. |

This badge appears untill the translation is complete. Based on the amount of content and the translation tool, the translation might take longer than expected. |

This status applies to content with any translation change (automatic or manual translation). You can change the status of the content to **Translated** or the content automatically changes to **Out of sync** if the original content changes. Once the translated content is verified, you can change the status to **Translated**. |

This status requires manual confirmation after reviewing **Review pending** content. The status doesn’t change automatically. |
| ![status_out_of_sync](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/status_out_of_sync.jpg) | Whatfix content that is modified and requires translation appears with an **Out of sync** badge. This status automatically applies when the original content is modified. You must resync the content, translate, verify, and publish to view the latest translated content. You can change the status to **Translated** or **Review pending** when a content displays an **Out of sync** status. |

You must perform a push to production to see the latest translated content.
