Selecting a value in the dropdown menu often causes the menu to close before capturing the step. ## Probable Cause The issue occurs because the click used to select the dropdown value inadvertently closes the menu, which leaves the captured value empty. ## Suggested Solution Follow the steps to capture the desired value from a dropdown menu using Studio: 1. Select the desired value in the dropdown menu. 2. Click the corresponding element on the page to capture it. 3. Use the shortcut key Shift+M to resolve the issue of element selection when dropdown values are involved. ![ShiftM](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Studio_ShiftM.png) These steps enable you to accurately capture the dropdown values without closing the menu. Ensure that the correct value is visible and selected before capturing the step.
