# What is the purpose of Whatfix custom browser extension?

Whatfix deployment requires keeping two lines of code in the head section of the HTML code of your application. If you don't have code access then you can use a customised browser extension prepared by Whatfix team. This browser extension does the code embedding for you using the browser APIs.
