When you [publish content and widgets to the Production stage](/studio/docs/pushing-whatfix-content-to-production) by clicking Publish, the browser extension you have enabled is automatically updated. This means that you no longer need to manually update the extension when content is updated. ![chrome_edge_update](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/chrome_edge_update.png) Info: - The update button is disabled on the browser extension when the extension is inactive. - If you enable the Chrome Store or Edge Store extensions and Publish content and widget, the extension automatically submits to the respective Stores for review. - If your extensions are rejected by Chrome or the Edge Store, the **Update** button is enabled so that you can manually submit the extensions for review again. ## Related - [Publishing Content to Production Best Practices](/pushing-content-to-production-best-practices.md)
