# Widgets don't appear when the user visits the page

### Issue
A widget doesn’t load automatically when the user visits the page. The user has to manually refresh the page to see the widget.

### Probable Cause
Whatfix needs to recognize the page where the widget is to be shown. This is done using either Page Tags or Auto Tags. If no such Tag is added to the widget, then the widget cannot automatically load on the page.

### Suggested Solutions
* Create a Page Tag and add it to your widget. For more information, see [Create Role or Page based Tags](/studio/docs/create-role-or-page-based-tags){target="_blank"}.
* If your account has [Smart Context](/studio/docs/smartcontext){target="_blank"} enabled, then an Auto Tag needs to be captured for the page you want to show your widget on. To enable whatfix to capture an Auto Tag, some content need to be created on the page.
