# Would the ID change if a copy of an existing Beacon is created?

Each content has a unique ID that is required for Advanced Customization (AC) and API integrations. When you create a copy of an existing Beacon, the new Beacon collection created gets a different unique ID.

          Note:

          

- The copy of the Whatfix content or widget is created with the title: **Copy of** <***Content/Widget Title***>.

- View the copy of the Beacon ID in the URL of the Beacon. The last section in the URL is the Beacon ID.

In this case, the Beacon ID is *03b5a0a5-b2a3-4844-9e79-25ed57308a6e.*

- Editing the copied content or widget does not have an impact on the original content or widget.
