Article summary

Using the Advanced Visibility Rules, Whatfix enables you to configure the date and time for when a widget should start appearing. With this condition, set timed promotions, announcements, or any other time-sensitive content. For example, if you're running a holiday promotion on your retail website and want to display a special discount Pop-up starting from December 1, use Advanced Visibility Rules to schedule the Pop-up to appear on that specific date and time.

Info:

Specific date range conditions are not applicable for Self Help.

Use the following steps to show a widget based on a specific date range:

  1. In the Visibility rules section of your widget, click When does the pop up start and stop appearing?

Info:

  • Ensure that you add an End date and End time for your widget to prevent any content failure.

  • The Start and End times determine when your widget will start and stop showing. To configure the time duration during which your widget shows up every day, use the Set interval option.

  1. Select the time zone in which you want to show the widget using the Timezone dropdown.

In the Set interval section, select the set time duration on the selected dates during which the widget should appear.  For example, if you set the Show from at 08:00 and the Show till at 21:00, then for the selected dates, the Pop-up would appear between 08:00 and 21:00 every day until the end date.
