This creates an evaluation environment where your users can complete the same tasks independently, without on-screen guidance. For example, use an Assessment to evaluate how new employees complete onboarding Workflows before advancing to live systems. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Assessment%20Experience.gif?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T10%3A48%3A52Z&se=2026-10-29T11%3A48%3A52Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=dQ%2BoxH5HIAKOJ6sY57aXMu8dqB0%2FJX%2FZ1Yb0gnoYobI%3D) Assessments function as fully interactive, real-time experiences that replicate actual application workflows. During the Assessment, a Task List displays all the Workflows that learners must complete and tracks their progress in real time as they work through each one. Mirror supports sharing Assessments through dedicated links or integrating them into a Learning Management System (LMS) using a SCORM package. You do not have to maintain or configure tracking of Assessment performance. Mirror automatically tracks Assessment performance, capturing metrics such as the completion rate and the number of users who attempted, passed, or failed the Assessment, and displays the results for each Assessment in the Mirror Analytics dashboard. ### Customize the Assessment Experience Customize the Assessment experience to align it with your training goals. Define the Pass criteria, add instructional messages, and control how users navigate through Workflows based on how you want to evaluate user performance. Use the following options to customize the Assessment experience for your users: - **Pass Criteria:** Define how many Workflows users must complete to pass the Assessment. This can either include completing all Workflows to achieve full completion or specifying a minimum number of Workflows to measure proficiency. - **Start and End Screen** **Pop-ups:** Add contextual Pop-ups at the beginning and end of an Assessment to display custom instructions and completion messages when users finish the Assessment. - **Playground Mode:** Choose whether to enable Playground Mode for flexible navigation across Workflows or disable it to maintain a fixed, linear path in the Assessment. For more information, see [Understand Playground Mode](/mirror/docs/understand-playground-mode). For example, create an onboarding Assessment with multiple training Workflows and set a pass criterion such as completing four out of five Workflows to ensure that only users who meet the required proficiency complete the training program. ### Use Cases Assessments support a variety of enterprise learning scenarios where training outcomes must be measured and validated. Expand the following accordions for more details: ****Certify learners at the end of onboarding or upskilling programs**** Turn training Workflows into Assessments to verify whether users can complete tasks independently. A successful Assessment confirms user readiness and proficiency before they advance to the next level of training or skill development. ****Verify learner readiness before application access**** Use Assessments to confirm that your users can complete critical Workflows before they access live systems. Set a clear pass criteria to ensure only those who meet expectations progress to live operations. This helps reduce errors and ensures user readiness for production environments. ****Benchmark performance across teams or batches**** Track performance differences across teams or batches with key metrics such as the number of users who attempted, passed, or failed an Assessment. Such insights help identify patterns, highlight areas of confusion, and improve training effectiveness. A feature in Whatfix Mirror that evaluates user proficiency by disabling all Guidance content, such as Smart Tips and Flows, in a training Simulation. It enables users to complete Workflows independently and tracks assessment performance, including completion rates and pass or fail outcomes. Guidance content refers to in-app content types such as Flows, Smart Tips, Beacons, and Pop-ups that guide users through tasks. A feature that enables you to connect and link multiple Mirror Workflows to represent a complex user journey across an application or ecosystem. Workflows added to a simulation are automatically linked. An interactive evaluation created by using existing Simulations to measure how proficiently end users complete tasks without assistance. A sequence of captured mirror screens representing a specific user journey or process (e.g., "How to create a Lead in Salesforce?"). The Task List is a widget that gives you the ability to assign a list of topics/tasks users must complete as part of a training program. SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model. SCORM packages enable you to share web-based learning with ease and reuse it across different eLearning platforms. Defines how many Workflows a user must complete to pass an Assessment. Based on your requirement, you can set it to include all Workflows or a specific number needed to demonstrate proficiency. A mode within Simulation that facilitates the connection and interaction of workflows within the simulated environment. Playground mode is enabled by default. ## Related - [Create an Assessment](/create-an-assessment.md) - [Preview an Assessment](/preview-an-assessment.md) - [Share an Assessment](/share-an-assessment.md) - [Assessment Analytics](/assessment-analytics.md)
