When your application has minor changes to the user interface (UI) or workflow, such as a renamed button or an added page, update the existing Flow by inserting the required steps. In such cases, you do not need to recreate the Flow. This ensures the Flow remains accurate and functions correctly in the Mirror.
Use the following steps to add a step to an existing Flow:
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
Click Flows.
Hover your cursor over the required Flow, and then click the Edit icon.
Click Launch live edit.
Click the More icon on the step where you want to insert a new step, once the application launches in Whatfix Studio.
From the drop-down menu, select the relevant option.
- Add Step Before: This option enables you to add a step before the existing step.
- Add Step After: This option enables you to add a step after the existing step.
Whatfix also enables you to copy a step from another Flow. For more information, see Copy Flow Steps.
Create a branch and guide your end users through several possible options. For more information, see Add a branch to a Flow.
Select the UI element on the application for the Flow step.
Enter a description for the Flow step.
Click Save Step.
Repeat steps 5 to 7 to add additional Flow steps.
Click Save Flow.
