Assessment Mode is a Beta feature supported only on Whatfix Mirror. To enable this feature, contact support@whatfix.com.
Understand Assessment Mode
Assessment Mode in Mirror enables you to evaluate how proficiently your end users perform tasks without any assistance. Mirror uses the same Simulation created for training in Assessment Mode, but removes all visual cues, such as Smart Tips and Flows.
The assessment runs as a fully interactive, real-time experience without any training support, and can be shared with your end users through a dedicated link.
There is no need to maintain or configure tracking of assessment performance. Mirror automatically captures user activity, such as attempts, completion status, and outcomes, during the assessment and displays the data in the Assessment Analytics dashboard at the Assessment level.
Why use Assessment Mode?
Use Assessment Mode in Mirror to validate whether your end users can complete Workflows without guidance. While training simulations offer support, Assessment Mode tests actual readiness in a real-world context.
Assessment Mode enables you to turn existing Simulations into effective evaluation tools without duplicating content. With built-in analytics, you can confirm learner proficiency, measure performance readiness, and view training outcomes.
Use Cases
Assessment Mode supports a variety of enterprise learning scenarios where training outcomes must be measured and validated. The following are some use cases where Assessment Mode can add strategic value:
1. Certify Learners at the End of Onboarding or Upskilling Programs
Turn training Workflows into assessments to validate whether your end users can complete tasks independently. A successful assessment confirms readiness and proficiency before moving to the next stage.
2. Verify Learner Readiness Before Application Access
Use assessments to confirm that your end users can complete critical Workflows before they access live systems. Set clear completion criteria to ensure only those who meet expectations move forward. This helps maintain accuracy and keeps your processes secure.
3. Measure the Impact of Training
Assessment Mode generates objective performance data and tracks how many users attempt, complete, pass, or fail each Workflow, with assessment-level insights into outcomes and completion rates. These insights help evaluate training effectiveness, identify areas of confusion, and improve simulation content.
