Previewing an Assessment helps you verify that the Assessment functions and appears as intended before your users access it. Use **Preview** **assessment** to verify the following: - The landing screen appears correctly as the first screen of the Workflow selected as the Assessment starting point. - Guidance content such as Smart Tips and Flows does not appear during the Assessment. - The Task List appears correctly with the required Workflows for the Assessment and tracks your users’ progress as they complete them. - Mirror Screens appear in the correct sequence based on the Playground Mode configuration. For more information, see [Understand Playground Mode](/mirror/docs/understand-playground-mode). - Start and end screen pop-ups appear with the configured messages and instructions, if enabled. > [!WARNING] > Note: > > - You can preview an Assessment only in the **Ready** and **Production** stages. > - Mirror does not capture data or record activity for Assessments in the **Ready** stage, and this data does not appear in the Mirror Analytics dashboard. > [!NOTE] > Info: > > Whatfix recommends you preview an Assessment in the **Ready** stage before you publish the Assessment. Analytics data is captured only for Assessments that you publish and share in the **Production** stage. For more information, see [Assessment Analytics](/mirror/docs/assessment-analytics). Use the following steps to preview an Assessment: 1. On the [Whatfix Mirror Dashboard](/mirror/docs/how-can-i-access-the-whatfix-mirror-dashboard), select the Simulation that includes the Assessment you want to preview. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/Mirror_Db_Assessment_Click.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T10%3A42%3A55Z&se=2026-10-29T11%3A42%3A55Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=CanhgnObU36Yd%2FmfzTSOb9wThjNjuueN7%2FpTL%2FYsvLI%3D) 2. For more information, see [Publish Whatfix Mirror](/mirror/docs/publish-whatfix-mirror). > - After you publish the Assessment, share it to evaluate how effectively your users complete tasks without guidance. For more information, see [Share an Assessmen](/mirror/docs/share-an-assessment)[t](/mirror/docs/share-an-assessment). > - To share an Assessment through a Learning Management System (LMS), export it as a SCORM package. For more information, see [Export an Assessment as a SCORM Package](/mirror/docs/export-an-assessment-as-a-scorm-package). An interactive evaluation created by using existing Simulations to measure how proficiently end users complete tasks without assistance. A sequence of captured mirror screens representing a specific user journey or process (e.g., "How to create a Lead in Salesforce?"). Guidance content refers to in-app content types such as Flows, Smart Tips, Beacons, and Pop-ups that guide users through tasks. The Task List is a widget that gives you the ability to assign a list of topics/tasks users must complete as part of a training program. A replica of an application screen captured based on a UI element. A mode within Simulation that facilitates the connection and interaction of workflows within the simulated environment. Playground mode is enabled by default. A feature that enables you to connect and link multiple Mirror Workflows to represent a complex user journey across an application or ecosystem. Workflows added to a simulation are automatically linked. SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model. SCORM packages enable you to share web-based learning with ease and reuse it across different eLearning platforms.
