Once you capture User Attributes, such as role, department, or email ID, Whatfix enables you to filter your users in Funnel Insights based on these parameters to understand their behavior. Note: Capturing User Attributes is a Beta feature. To enable the feature, contact [support@whatfix.com](mailto:support@whatfix.com?subject=Capture%20User%20Attributes%20in%20my%20account&body=Hi%20team%2C%0A%0APlease%20help%20capture%20User%20Attributes%20in%20my%20account.%0A). ### Use case Consider that you observe many users dropping off at a particular step in your Funnel and you want to filter the data based on the users' role. Capture User Attributes, such as Role or Department, and filter users using these attributes. This helps you understand which user roles face friction in the application and target Whatfix content to the particular group. **Event**: Custom events for the process **User filter**: Role - Sales Manager, VP ![funnel_new_chart_add_user_attributes.png](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/funnel_new_chart_add_user_attributes(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T06%3A18%3A31Z&se=2026-10-29T07%3A18%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=4ycR3o9j9IKuKXWUyYDlxbhhbibCZ15FCv6hFYkAzJk%3D) **Chart:** ![funnel_new_chart_view.png](https://cdn.document360.io/a268766e-d74d-4619-9613-e2472f809ffb/Images/Documentation/funnel_new_chart_view.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T06%3A18%3A31Z&se=2026-10-29T07%3A18%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=4ycR3o9j9IKuKXWUyYDlxbhhbibCZ15FCv6hFYkAzJk%3D) --- Use the following steps to filter your users based on User Attributes in Funnel Insights: 1.
