Activity

Activity denotes the number of active users in the application compared to the expected optimal activity. It computes as the number of unique users in the application divided by the number of licenses procured. This metric contributes to the calculation of the Adoption score.

Activity History

The Activity History displays the license upload history of the application, including the number of licenses added, the date of addition, the effective start date, and the effective end date of the license. This information appears only if license details are available for the application.

Adoption metrics

Adoption metrics such as Average time spent, Median time spent, and more enable you to analyze the adoption or usage of an application.

Adoption score

Adoption score is a metric that enables product owners to gain insights into user engagement with applications.

Adoption score is calculated based on the following parameters:

A: Activity in the application

C: Completion rate

Application

All enterprise applications or products whose usage or adoption requires analysis using the Enterprise Insights dashboard.

Application utilisation %

Application utilisation % is calculated as the number of unique users who are using the application divided by the number of licenses procured. This metric enables you to understand the Return of Investment (ROI) of the applications.

Average time spent/User

Average time spent/User calculates as the total time spent by a user on an application during a specific time period divided by the total number of users.

Description

Completion rate

Completion rate refers to the process completion rate within the application. It is calculated from the most recent 10 Funnels created in an account, filtered by the created date. It is computed as the number of users who completed the last step in the Funnel divided by the number of users who completed the first step in the Funnel. This metric contributes to measuring the Adoption score.

Custom Metrics

Custom Metrics include adoption metrics such as Unique users, Total Licenses, and more, enabling analysis of the adoption and usage of applications. Custom Metrics are available only in Summary Insights.

Dashboards

Dashboards are a reporting feature that enables you to visualize your Trend and Summary Insights. They provide usage and adoption data across applications at a glance.

Default events

Default events are all events generated for Whatfix content and widget interaction across applications. For more information, see List of Whatfix-related events.

Default overview dashboard

Recommend a dashboard as the default overview dashboard for all Enterprise Insights (EI) users of an account. Other users in the account can select their own personal overview dashboard or view the default overview dashboard set by the administrator.

E

Term

Description

Enterprise Insights

Enterprise Insights (EI) enable you to have better visibility of usage and Whatfix DAP (Digital Adoption Platform) adoption metrics across enterprise applications at the portfolio level. With this data, you can identify and drive initiatives to improve adoption or optimize application license utilization costs.

Events

Events are triggered when your end users perform any action on the Whatfix content or widgets across applications.

Event filter

Event filters in Trend Insights enable you to drill down default events based on different criteria. For example, you can analyze the number of users who completed the Flow called Onboarding across multiple applications.

Default event name: Flow completed

Event filter: Content Title (Name of the Flow) - Onboarding

Event grouping

Event grouping enables you to group two or more Default (Whatfix-related) events for analysis and reporting.

Event breakdown

Event breakdown in Trend Insights enables you to breakdown Default events further based on certain properties. For example, you can analyze the number of users who completed the Flow called Onboarding from various sources, such as Self Help, Pop-up, and more, across multiple applications.

Default event name: Flow completed

Event filter: Content Title (Name of the Flow) - Onboarding

Event breakdown: Event Trigger Location

Event Trigger Location

Event Trigger Location in Trend Insights enables you to select the location from which an event is triggered. For example, you can analyze the number of users who completed a Flow from Self Help in a particular application.

Event Trigger Location: Widget (Self Help)

Event trigger page URL

Events or metrics are filtered based on the URL at which they are triggered. For example, you can analyze the Adoption score of an application filtered by URL, that is, whatfix.com.

F

Term

Description

Filters

Filters in Summary Insight enable you to limit the scope of the events based on different criteria. For example, analyze the Adoption score of an application by filtering out test User IDs.
