What is new?

Whatfix now provides session metrics such as Total number of sessions, Average session time, and Total time spent in Trend Insights. Session metrics enable you to analyze how long end users stay in an application, how often they come back, and how much time they spend during each session.

Why does it matter to me?

Previously, you could see if a user logged in on a specific day, but it didn’t reveal how often or how long they interacted with the application. With Session Analytics, you now get deeper insights into user engagement patterns at the session level. 

This helps you to do the following: 

• Identify struggling users who log in frequently but spend very little time during each session. 
• Spot disengaged users who rarely return or have minimal activity.
• Understand how different user segments interact with your application.

Note: Whatfix captures session data for all accounts that performed a Push to Production after May 20, 2025.

How do I do this?

Introducing Whatfix AI - Deep think

What is new?

Ask Whatfix AI – Deep think provides automatic analysis of end-user behavior and delivers visual summaries, behavioral insights, and actionable suggestions, all in response to a single query.

Why does it matter to me?

Ask Whatfix AI already saves you time by auto-generating the right analytics charts from your queries. But after seeing the charts, you still had to interpret the data yourself, identify bottlenecks, and figure out what to do next.

Deep think takes this a step further. It helps you go from “What’s happening?” to “What should I do about it?”, without needing to be a data expert.

When you ask a question such as “How do I improve adoption of a specific feature?,” Deep think can perform the following:

• Break it down into relevant sub-questions.
• Generate visual charts showing completions and drop-offs.
• Summarize engagement trends, bottlenecks, and behavior shifts.
• Recommend data-backed next steps, such as adding Smart Tips, Beacons, or simplifying workflows.

How do I do this?

Deep think is available to all customers who have Ask Whatfix AI enabled. Ask Whatfix AI is a Beta feature. Use the Sign up for Beta button to enable Ask Whatfix AI.

Target Whatfix content to users instantly with real time Cohorts

What is updated?

Cohorts now sync in near real-time, enabling you to target users based on their behavior almost instantly.

Why does it matter to me?

Previously, Cohort syncing could take up to 8 hours, which made it difficult to act on user behavior in a timely manner. With this update, you can now target Whatfix content such as Pop-ups or Smart Tips to users based on their behavior in real time. When a user is added to or removed from a Cohort, Whatfix immediately re-evaluates widget visibility for that user.

How do I do this?

Generate AI Summary of Insights

What is new?

AI Summary is now available across all Insight types (Trend Insight, Funnel Insight, and User Journey), helping you instantly interpret charts and data with a single click.

Why does it matter to me?

Interpreting charts with multiple data points can be time-consuming and confusing, especially when analyzing complex user behavior or comparing segments. With AI Summary, you no longer have to manually analyze every chart. Whatfix now provides quick, automated summaries that highlight key insights, making it easier to understand trends and take action faster.

How do I do this?

AI Summary is available to all customers who have Ask Whatfix AI enabled. Ask Whatfix AI is a Beta feature. Use the Sign up for Beta button to enable Ask Whatfix AI.
