Introducing the Demo Mode in Product Analytics

Feature availability: Available for all

What is new?

Explore Whatfix Product Analytics in the Demo Mode, a guided experience that loads sample datasets from common industries directly into your Whatfix Analytics dashboard.

Why does it matter to me?

When you’re new to analytics, it can be hard to know which data to track or where to begin analyzing user behavior in your application. Demo Mode bridges this gap by letting you explore Product Analytics with realistic, industry-specific sample data for domains, such as HR and Recruitment, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Sales.

You can:

  • Understand which events and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track in your own product.
  • See how to visualize user engagement, Funnels, and Journeys before actual implementation.
  • Experiment safely with Trend Insights, Funnel Insights, Dashboards, Cohorts, User lists, Event groups, and Ask Whatfix AI without affecting your real analytics data.

How do I do this?

The capability is available to everyone without any extra configuration. For more information, see Introduction to Demo Mode.

Target Whatfix content to users instantly with Real Time Cohorts

Feature availability: Beta

What is new?

Real Time Cohorts sync in near real-time. This enables you to target Whatfix content based on user behavior instantly.

Why does it matter to me?

Real Time Cohorts added to Visibility Rules enable you to target Whatfix content such as Pop-ups or Smart Tips to users based on their behavior in real time. When a user is added to or removed from a Cohort, Whatfix immediately re-evaluates widget visibility for that user.

How do I do this?

Use the Sign up for Beta button to enable the feature. For more information, see Understand Real Time Cohorts.

Deprecation of the Pop-up shown event

Feature availability: Available for all

What's changed?

Whatfix has deprecated the Pop-up shown event. Create an Event group instead with the following events:

  • Pop-up skipped: Triggered when users skip a Pop-up.
  • URL Triggered via Pop-up: Triggered when users click a URL within a Pop-up.
  • Pop-up closed by "X" icon: Triggered when users close a Pop-up using the "X" icon.
  • Flow launched from Pop-up: Triggered when a Flow is launched directly from a Pop-up.
  • Pop-up closed by close button: Triggered when users close the Pop-up using the close button.
  • Pop-up carousel slides shown: Triggered when a Carousel Pop-up slide is shown to end users. The event ensures that end-user engagement is captured on each slide of a Carousel Pop-up.

Why does it matter to me?

Use the Event group to analyze the end-user engagement with Pop-ups.

How do I do this?

Create the Event group and use it in Trend Insights to visualize the end-user engagement with Pop-ups. For more information, see What are the deprecated events in Product Analytics?
