# Why do user counts differ between Cohorts and Trend Insights?

## **Issue**

There are differences in user counts between Cohorts and Trend Insights.

## **Probable Causes**

- A difference in the date filter between Cohorts and Trend Insights results in inconsistent user counts.
- [User Attributes](/product-analytics/docs/what-are-user-attributes) that are not configured properly lead to inaccurate results.

## **Suggested Solutions**

- Ensure the date filter while creating the **Cohort** matches the date filter while creating the **Trend Insight**.
