Introduction
Understanding whether User Actions are configured correctly on the application, latched to the correct element, or if a User Action already exists on the element is crucial. Incorrectly created User Actions can lead to inaccurate data collection.
With User Action Verification, Whatfix enables you to do the following:
- View all the User Actions created on the page
- Verify if the User Actions are latched correctly on the elements
- Verify if the User Actions are getting triggered
- Preview User Actions
- Edit User Actions
- Create new User Actions
The Verification experience enables you to validate User Actions contextually within the application where they are created, enabling real-time identification and resolution of any issues. This process enhances the overall quality of the analytics data generated for User Actions.
Benefits of User Action Verification
Identify created User Actions
The User Action Verification highlights all User Actions created on the page. It highlights every User Action on the page, whether visible, hidden, or unavailable, so you can confirm that each User Action is attached to the correct element. Hidden or unavailable User Actions might be inside a dropdown or behind a tab that isn’t rendered, making them easy to overlook during manual checks.
Verify and remove duplicates
Whatfix enables you to verify User Actions even after pushing them to Production. This enables you to understand if User Actions are triggered correctly based on the Completion Rules and detect duplicates. For example, Verification detects whether a User Action triggers on the intended interaction, whether two User Actions are configured on the same element, or whether a single User Action is triggered twice because of an incorrect element selection.
