Applications undergo UI changes from time to time. You might have created a Flow with a step pointing to a UI element which might no longer be available. In such cases, Whatfix enables you to delete such steps from a Flow and prevent the user's workflow from breaking.
Use the following process to delete steps from a Flow:
On the Whatfix Guidance dashboard, click Content.
Click Flows.
Hover your cursor over the required Flow, and then click the Edit icon.
Whatfix Content and Widgets can be edited in the Draft and Ready Stages.
- Go to the step you want to delete, and then click Delete.
Ensure that you preview the Flow when you delete a step from a Flow, to avoid any Flow failure.
When you delete a step from a Flow, the next step replaces the deleted step. If the next step is not present on the same page, this might result in a Flow failure.
For example, consider that you want to delete step 3 in a Flow, and step 4 is latched on an element on another page. When the Flow is initiated, this might result in the failure of the Flow as step 4 is present on a different page.
- On the top right, click Save.
