Note:
Integrating Whatfix and Confluence requires backend configuration that can only be done by Whatfix. Contact support@whatfix.com to set up the integration.
Overview
Using Whatfix and Confluence integration, any Flow you create in Whatfix can be automatically created as an article in your desired Confluence space.
Articles are created as child pages to the parent page of your choosing. Any updates made to the Flows in Whatfix are automatically reflected in Confluence pages.
Use cases
Here are some use cases that are possible using this integration:
- Create Flows as articles in Confluence.
- Show Flows as slideshows in Confluence.
- Convert only selected Whatfix Flows as articles in Confluence.
- Convert Whatfix Flows as articles in bulk in Confluence.
How it works
Authentication
Confluence follows HTTP Basic Auth for REST APIs, and Whatfix uses the Token-based authorization method.
Requirements
- Enable the HTML macro in Confluence. Only an Admin can enable the HTML macro.

- Since HTML macros are not available in Confluence Cloud, you cannot create Flows as articles in the Cloud version.
- But Flows can be shown as Slideshows using the iFrame Macro in Confluence Cloud. For more information, contact support@whatfix.com.
- The space key and parent page ID must be known prior to integration.
- Get the Authorization token to hit Confluence API.
