Extension Install Analytics

If you are using the Browser Extension model to deploy Whatfix content, you may be curious to know how many of your users have installed the extension.

To know this, whenever the extension is active on your user's browsers, an analytics event is sent everyday. The following extension metadata is included.

• Extension version number
• Extension name
• Deployment type
• Delivery type
• Extension ID
• Extension user ID.

This data helps in understanding how many of your users have extensions on their browsers.

If you are using Google Analytics, once the extension is deployed, and analytics are available, you can navigate to one of the following templates to see the available analytics data.

In the template, select your account and view a dashboard of everything you wanted to know about how your extension is faring. You can see information about how many users have installed the extension, the type of browsers used, the geography of installs, etc.
