Adding a Beacon to an existing Beacon Collection

Note
- Whatfix by default evaluates only one Beacon collection per page at any given time.
- To enable Whatfix to evaluate multiple Beacon collections on a page, contact [email protected]. This feature is currently Closed Beta and is available only for selected customers.
Use the following steps to add a Beacon to an existing Beacon collection,

Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

Hover the cursor over the Beacon collection you want to add the Beacon to, and then click the Edit icon.

Click Launch Live Edit.

Once the Editor launches in your application, click + Beacon.

Select an element on the application where you want the Beacon to appear.

Enter the name of the Beacon.

Enter the description for the Beacon.

Click the radio button adjacent to your preferred Beacon style.

- You can select the Custom style to change the text of the Beacon.
- If you don't see the customization options, contact [email protected]
Note
- By default, the Beacon color is red.
- To change the Beacon color, click the Customise this Beacon checkbox, and then select a color. You can choose from the existing color palette or pass the hex code of the desired color.

Set the position and visibility for the Beacon.

Click Add Beacon.
Note
To add more than one Beacon to the collection, repeat steps 4 to 10.

Click Maximize.

Click Save.
