Adding Repository Content to Self Help or Task List

Repository content can be added to Self Help or Task List segments using tags. Tags help you organize content and display different content to different users.

When you associate a tag to a Repository, Whatfix adds the tag to the entire content fetched from the Repository and also to any content added later.

Although all the content fetched has a default tag attached to them, in some cases you might want to add another tag to the entire content. For example, if Smart Context is enabled, you must add the global-page tag to all the content fetched for it to appear in the Self Help widget.

Adding Repository content to Self Help or Task List is a two-step process,
Step 1: Add tags to the Repository content
Step 2: Add the same tags to the Self Help or Task List segment

Step 1: Add tags to the Repository content

Use the following steps to add a tag to Repository content,

1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.
   

2. On the top right, click the Settings icon.
   

3. Click Manage Repositories.
   

4. In the Integrated Applications section, navigate to the application for which you want to add the tag.

5. Under Actions, click the Ellipsis icon.
   

6. Click View & Edit.
   

7. On the pop-up that appears, click Edit.
   

8. Click the Tags section and select a tag from the list of tags available or manually enter the tag that you want to add.
   

9. Click Save.

Step 2: Add the same tags to a Self Help or Task List segment

Use the following steps to add the same tags to a Self Help or Task List segment,

1. Navigate to the Self Help or Task List segment that you want to add the Repository content to.
   

2. Click Select.
   

3. In the pop-up, click Select by tags.
   

4. Click the plus icon.
   

5. Select the tags you had added to the Repository content.

6. Click Okay.
