Changing the design of the Tool Tip

You can change the look and feel of Whatfix Tool Tips according to your preference using various customization options provided by Whatfix.

Note

Only the Account Manager or Content Manager can customize the look and feel of Whatfix content.
For more information, see Whatfix User Roles.

You can customize the design in the following instances,

  • While setting a default Tool Tip
  • Post creating a Flow
While setting a default Tool Tip

When you set a default Tool Tip, all Whatfix content gets created with the same theme.

Use the following steps to set a default tool tip for your account,

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

  2. On the top right, click the Settings icon.

  3. Click Configuration.

  4. The Theme section has the following customizations that you can enable across all Whatfix content.

    • Tool Tip: Configure tips, select a color, format font, and text sizes, and customize tip shapes and buttons.
    • End Message: Enable or disable the end message. You can also select colors, font sizes, etc. for your end message text for all Flows. For more information, see [Requesting feedback at the end of a Flow](/v1/docs/customizingtheendmessageofaflow){target="_blank"}.
    • Automation: Enable or disable the Flow Automation Pop-up, show or hide information regarding when the user's input is required and configure the background opacity. For more information, see [Configuring the Flow Automation pop-up](/v1/docs/configuring-the-flow-automation-pop-up){target="_blank"}
End messages can be customized at the end while creating the Flow using the Whatfix Editor.

  1. Pick a Tool Tip theme from the available options.

    Here's how each theme modifies the Tool Tip appearance

Note

All colors and fonts can be customized for each theme.

  1. Expand TIP CONFIGURATION and configure the following:
    • Color configuration: Choose from the existing color palette or pass the hex code of the desired color
    • Text Configuration:Choose font size, color, and style of the Tool Tip text 
    • Next Button: Choose to show/hide the NEXT button and configure the button and text color.
  1. Expand OTHER CONFIGURATION and you can configure the following:
    • Back Button: Choose to show or hide the back button
    • Step Number: Choose to show or hide the step number
    • Flow Name: Choose to show or hide the Flow name
    • Flow Name Text: Choose font size and color for the Flow name
    • Corner Radius: Add rounded corners for your tips
    7. Click Save.

Post creating a Flow

Use the following steps to customize a Flow post creation,

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

  2. Hover your cursor over the Flow you want to edit, and then click the Edit icon.

  3. Click the Customize button.

  4. You can enable the following customizations for this Flow,

  • Tool Tip: Configure tips, select a color, format font, and text sizes, and customize tip shapes, and buttons.
  • End Message: Enable or disable the end message. You can also select colors, font sizes, etc., for your end message text for all Flows. For more information, see Customizing the end message of a Flow
  • ** Automation**: Enable or disable the Flow Automation Pop-up, show or hide information regarding when the user's input is required and configure the background opacity. For more information, see Configuring the Flow Automation pop-up
  1. Select a Tool Tip theme from the available options.

  • If you don't see multiple themes to select, contact support@whatfix.com to enable new themes.
  1. Expand TIP CONFIGURATION and configure the following:
