Content Versioning enables you to track all the changes made to any content created on Whatfix. Every saved content change is recorded as a new version.
your title goes here
Draft content does not have versions.
You can preview any version in a PDF format and restore them.
Use the following steps to preview and restore the version,
-
Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.
-
Navigate to the content that you want to restore to a previous version and then click the desired version number.
Note
Ensure Version column is enabled.
- Hover over the version you want to restore and click the View PDF icon to preview the content.
The content version opens in a PDF format in a new tab.
- Click Restore to restore the version.
Note
- The restored version is visible to the end-user only after a Push To Production is done in the case of the JS Embed deployment model.
- In the case of Self-hosted or Extension deployment, the restored version is visible after taking new export or updating the extension depending on the deployment model.
- When content is restored from a previous version, the version is copied as a new version. For example, if there are 12 versions of a Flow, and your restore version 5, then version 13 will be an exact copy of version 5.
