Creating Video Link

You can include video content in different Whatfix widgets like Self Help, Task List, and Beacon. When the video is triggers, it plays in a Pop-up on the same page.
The following GIF is an example of how a video link appears when you add it to a Self Help segment. For more information see, see, Adding Video Links to Self Help.
Here's how video content appears when launched from Self Help.
You can add links to Task List as well. For more information see, Adding a video link to Task List.
You can use the video links from various platforms to embed videos in Whatfix Pop-ups. For more information on various video platforms supported by Whatfix see What are the video platforms supported by Whatfix?
Use the following steps to create a video link,

Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

On the top right, click the Create button, and then click Video Link.

On the VIDEO pop-up, enter the Display text.

Drag and drop the video from your local drive or click Browse to select the video from your library.
The video upload feature is not available for Self Hosted/Export model.
Only .mp4 video files that are less than 100 MB in size are currently supported. Up to 100 videos can be uploaded per ENT.
If you have video links hosted on various platforms, and you want to embed these in your Whatfix content, you can copy and paste the URL of the video in the same VIDEO pop-up under Video Link.
5. Add search keywords and tags to your video link if needed.
- Click Save.
Add Video Link to Whatfix content
The video uploaded from your local drive/library is stored in the Whatfix cloud. A link is generated for the uploaded video which you can add to your Flows, Beacons, Smart Tips and Pop-ups.
Use the following steps to add Video Link to Whatfix content,
- On the Whatfix Dashboard, click the Video link you have created.
- From the VIDEO pop-up, copy the Video Link.
- Paste the link as URL in the Insert Video option available in Flows, Beacons, Smart Tips and Pop-ups.
