Adding a Link to Self Help

You may want to add a link to an external source of content in the list of content displayed in Self Help.
Adding a link to Self Help is a two step process:
Step 1: Creating a link
Step 2: Adding the link to Self Help

Step 1: Creating a link
To create a link,

  1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

  1. Click Widgets.

  1. Click the Self Help tile.

  1. Click the segment you want to add the link to.

  2. Under Create, click Link.

  1. Enter the purpose of the link in the Display Text field.

  1. Enter the link in the Link field.
Note

If you have enabled Smart Context, all content created on your application is auto tagged. However, static content (text, video, and links) is not created on your application and you must add the global-page tag to display such content in the Self Help widget on your application. To tag content, see Adding Tags to content

  1. Click  Save

    Step 2: Adding a link to Self Help

    To add a link to Self Help,

    1. Navigate to the Whatfix Dashboard.

    1. Click the Self Help tile.

    1. Click the segment you want to add the link to

    1. Click Select.

    1. Set the filter to LINK.

    1. Hover the cursor over the link(s) you want to add and select using the checkbox.
    2. Click Okay.
    3. Click Save.
